RightFax XML Generator Module

The RightFax XML Generator is a new RightFax module which allows organizations to output fax image files, combined with fax metadata, in the industry standard XML format. The product is powered by EDC, a foundation-level technology that provides the engine for document processing and notifications to and from a RightFax Server.

XML Generator Feature Highlights

Real-time export of fax image files with XML metadata. With the RightFax XML Generator, fax image files combined with XML metadata are exported from a RightFax Server on a per user, per server or system- wide basis and can be easily consumed by any third-party application such as ERP document management, imaging/archiving, workflow and similar applications. It supports files formats such as TIF, PDF and DCX. XML data and fax image files can be saved in a single folder or in multiple folders and can be filtered to route based on metadata values.

XML Generator administration. The module provides a common set of administration tools to install, activate, configure and manage the XML generator. Using these administrative tools, RightFax administrators and integrators can monitor and manage connectors and processors, add and delete processor services and configure components using centralized monitoring and management interface.

Security and compliance. The RightFax XML generator takes an unalterable snapshot of the fax image file of each fax job before it is processed to support compliance, business continuity and record-keeping requirements.

XML templates and fax metadata macros. Sample XML templates are provided which contain a combination of formatted XML and fax data macros. Administrators and integrators can configure the sample templates to easily integrate with business applications and different environments.

Advanced settings. Advanced configuration tools allow administrators and integrators to change one or more document configuration setting, edit XML template files to accommodate data format requirements of any third-party application and create custom file naming schemes for either the image files or XML files.
